Testimonials

We think our services are pretty great - but don't take it from us. Here's what our families have to say.

"Stephanie has been very patient and demonstrates great care and attentiveness with our 11 month old daughter, Collette. She makes her work space very comfortable and is incredibly welcoming. I love that she has been willing to teach us the tools so we can continue to work at home. Collette has shown great improvement which has been such a relief to us as parents! Stephanie does amazing work and is serving the small surrounding communities in the process. It was such a relief to find a quality therapist nearby and not have to worry about excess travel. Stephanie was also willing to work with my husband and I to find good times to schedule appointments that fit into our busy work schedules. Very considerate! I would absolutely recommend Stephanie to anybody in need of food therapy."

"Stephanie was fantastic. As a mom of three, I thought I knew what I needed to know about breastfeeding, but I learned so much in our two sessions. Her easy tips and tricks made a huge difference for my baby and drastically improved our nursing sessions. He used to be fussy and squirmy for every feeding and now nurses with ease. Stephanie was so kind and helpful. I tell every momma I can now to take their baby to have a consultation with Stephanie."

- M.K.

"Thank you so much Stephanie for all your help! You did such an amazing job with my daughter and really helped us to have a successful breastfeeding journey after having a negative one with my son. You worked us through not only a tongue and lip tie release, but also through some facial/body tension that was also affecting our journey. We are now successfully breastfeeding with no pain and no problems! You were wonderful to work with, full of so much knowledge, and kept it professional all while making me feel comforted in my worries/stress/concerns. I also appreciate how prompt you were with answering messages and getting us scheduled. Thank you again!"

"I was a week away from returning to work, my baby struggled to take a bottle. Meaning she wouldn’t. I read every article I could find, tried to get help from local lactation consultant and pediatrician. I heard from too many people to count, “she’ll eat if she’s actually hungry”. I wasn’t convinced. A friend told me about Stephanie. And I had a visit the next day. Stephanie was incredibly helpful. She validated my feelings and thoughts. She offered alternatives to make sure my baby wasn’t starving while I was at work, easing my momma heart. And now I can say my baby is taking a bottle and never went hungry."

"Stephanie has been a great resource for my family. She listened to my concerns regarding a possible oral tie in my toddler that was previously missed. She was extremely patient with him and adapted her evaluation to accommodate him as he was more interested in playing with toys. I left feeling validated in my concerns and with a plan. Stephanie is willing to answer any questions I have regarding either one of my kids and is a great resource! Highly recommend seeing her for any concerns"

- Amanda

"Stephanie discovered our newborn son had a tongue tie when we visited her due to feeding troubles. She told us she would offer support whether we chose to have his tongue tie released or not. After going through with the release at a local dentist, Stephanie worked with us until our son was eating with minimal troubles. She let us know she’s just a text away if we have any trouble going forward. We are so thankful for all the support she provided us!"

- Paige

"When my son hit 8 weeks old, suddenly things became “messy”. He started to become more fussy and I could tell something had changed with his latch. I knew that there was a piece of the puzzle I was missing. With just one visit with Stephanie she pinpointed the problem and took her time discussing what she was seeing, the probable cause and offered guidance to correct. A home exercise plan was created so that only one visit with her was needed. With use of our home exercise plan, my son’s latch improved and his demeanor improved! I cannot thank Stephanie enough for her help! She’s a wonderful resource (coming from a fellow SLP!)."

-Megan

"Being a first time mom, I made the mistake of not educating myself about breastfeeding before my child arrived. I knew the bare minimum about breastfeeding, and I thought “I’ll just learn as I go, and it’ll all work out.” Well, that didn’t work out because I didn’t realize that tongue ties existed, and they are detrimental to a newborns ability to latch properly. So, as a first time mom, I had to quickly educate myself. Stephanie was a great resource for me and my baby! She help me understand how to encourage my baby to latch properly after his tie release. I recommend anyone who has a baby or is expecting to attend her classes! You will learn something no matter what stage you are at!"

- Emily

"Our child wasn't showing any interest in eating solids; she would turn her head from any spoon placed in front of her and wouldn't bring any food to her mouth. No family member had seen anything like it and after hours of trying all of Google's recommendations without success, we went to see Stephanie. During the very first appointment, Stephanie had our daughter putting veggie straws in her own mouth! When we left, we were sent home with techniques to try at home and simple foods that would help her development. We saw an immediate difference in her attitude towards solid foods, and now she is excited to sit in her highchair to try new foods."

- E. S.

"I was so impressed with the skills and knowledge of our therapist. My baby was so content and peaceful during the visit as Stephanie worked on her. I would highly recommend a consult if you have any concerns or questions in your new beautiful role as a mother. I left much more confident than I came."

- Lauren

"Stephanie was amazing. I am a person who worries and struggles with controlling everything and she gave me such relief with all her information. My son is feeding well and the way he needs to. We have been so thankful for all Stephanie’s help!"

- Ashlee

"This session was extremely thorough and helpful! It was so nice to come back over a year after my daughters oral ties were released to follow up on how I can best support her now. The final recommendations were clear and manageable. We are already seeing the positive outcomes we hoped for!"

- Megan

"Stephanie is so passionate about her work! She helped me to feel seen and supported in the early postpartum days when my son & I were having some breastfeeding troubles. I could tell Stephanie sincerely cared for me and my son!"

- Cassie

"I cannot thank you enough! Thanks to your recognition of the tightness on his right side, we have been completing the exercises you gave us and attended cranio sacral therapy sessions. He will now sleep with his head both ways and I have noticed a big improvement in the clicking noises while eating!"

- Brooke

"Stephanie was great to work with! Even with it being my 4th breastfed baby, there was still so much I was learning. She took all the time we needed to get the most out of our appointment!"

- Mallory

"Wow, I was extremely impressed with Stephanie’s knowledge and expertise in our problem areas (and beyond). It was a really worthwhile and fruitful appointment. Stephanie made every minute of our time together beneficial for my newborn daughter and me. She was very attentive and approachable while remaining professional throughout. I am very grateful for all the help and have seen really nice improvements with my daughter after just one visit. Her explanations and follow up notes were very helpful. It is difficult to find someone local who is so well versed in tethered oral tissues and feeding/ orofacial myofunctional therapy. Thank you Stephanie for going above and beyond!"

- M.C.

"Stephanie has been such a blessing in our journey with our twins’ feeding difficulties. We’ve found that infant feeding is a very niche specialty but is such a necessity when your baby is struggling with one of their few jobs as a small human! Feeding twins was literally my full time job and she helped us feel in control again with little changes and a conservative approach of exercises and stretches to improve their oral motor skills before determining a tongue tie revision may be necessary. I wish we started seeing her immediately after the NICU - it would have saved me hours of stressful feedings (and an embarrassing amount of google searches). She’s a gem for sure!"

- Katelyn

"Stephanie was very knowledgeable and helpful when assisting us with our babe's tongue and lip ties. She was very patient with us while our babe was learning how to latch properly after his revision as well. Stephanie always made sure all of our questions were answered and that we understood our post care exercises. Thrive Feeding and Lactation absolutely made our rocky start to breastfeeding turn into a confident adventure for me and my baby!"

- Bridget

"Violet's feeding therapy was SO helpful in many more ways than feeding therapy. As a new mom, I had next to no knowledge of oral ties. So of course, my little one would have two tight ties, tongue and lip. She would take two hours to eat a bottle at which point it was time to start her next bottle. After being referred to Stephanie, Violet was evaluated and confirmed to have these oral ties that other opinions had told me yes, maybe, no way. Stephanie's knowledge and explanation gave me confidence that I was finally getting solid advice and guidance on Violet's ties. We had the ties released, then continued to see Stephanie for therapy. She helped ensure we were doing Violet's after surgery exercises properly, so the ties did not grow back to the original state. Violet was always throwing curve balls, but Stephanie kept offering advice and different solutions when the typical feeding strategies weren't working. She gave reasonable at home exercises and was never pressuring. We took therapy at our own pace which helped my confidence to help my baby. After about 6 weeks seeing Stephanie once a week or once every other week, Violet made enough progress that we decided we could end therapy. Violet is 4.5 months old now and taking her bottles great! Aside from the fantastic therapy care we received, Stephanie has a network of professionals she can offer for other services. I felt Violet would benefit from physical therapy due to a flat spot on her head, and Stephanie directed me to another therapist that has also been wonderful. Stephanie's patience and thoroughness with our therapy experience not only helped Violet reach her feeding goals, but also helped me as a new mom to be confident that I was getting the best care for my baby. Thank you so much Stephanie!"

"My son and I love Thrive! Stephanie is so approachable. She has a wealth of knowledge and is able to articulate it in a way that is clear and meaningful. She prioritized my concerns and I deeply appreciated her holistic approach to feeding. She recommended home exercises that were feasible for our routine, yet effective. I definitely plan to utilize Thrive’s resources again in the future throughout my son’s feeding journey!"

- E.S.

"Stephanie has been the biggest blessing to our family. She has worked with all three of our kids in different capacities over the course of the last six months. She is knowledgeable, dedicated, and wonderful to work with! She is patient and adaptable with the kids, which are just a couple of the many great things about her! She is such a joy and we are so thankful to have found her!"

- Alissa

"We saw improvements with our baby’s feedings after just one visit with Stephanie! We had to have a tongue and lip tie revision completed on our daughter shortly after she was born, and we felt we needed some extra support afterwards when she was still struggling to feed. Stephanie gave us some simple and easy tools that we could implement at home that helped greatly! We are continually working towards improving feeding time with our daughter, but I cannot express enough how much stress Stephanie has helped to eliminate for this first time mom. If you’re considering reaching out to her for help, do not hesitate!"

- Brittany

"My daughter was having issues while feeding (we exclusively do formula). She was presenting with reflux-like symptoms. Stephanie was recommended by two different people. I scheduled a consultation and the results were amazing. We ended up changing bottles and the position while feeding and she has done a 180. Feeding time is no longer stressful. We are so thankful for Stephanie and all her knowledge!"

- Amanda

"Your service was more than I ever expected! You pointed out so many issues with Harpers eating that I would not have recognized on my own. You were very clear and specific when explaining solutions to help. She has made wonderful progress with your help and I am very satisfied with where she is with her eating now!"

- S.E.

"Stephanie has been amazing to helping my son. He was born with laryngomalacia and Stephanie has helped as a lactation counselor and as a speech pathologist. She’s full of knowledge and easily explains things for me to understand and be able to continue working with my son at home. Stephanie is so very kind to truly invest in her patients and offer the best support."

- Natalie

"Our experience with Stephanie was top notch! Our daughter benefitted from our private consultation and has improved her eating and overall her systems seem to be more regulated. We too learned a lot from Stephanie and felt less pressure to fix our daughter's feeding challenges, but more so support her where she was."
